What Is It?
This is killing me! Lately, I've been hearing about this so called "lacrosse" and such. My friends talk about it like is it the best thing in the world! Whenever I'm around them and they talk about it, I feel so left out! I don't know what it is! I'm afraid to ask them because I know that they will be all, "OMG I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU DONT KNOW WHAT IT IS!" So can you please save me the embarrassment and help me out here so I can stop feel ing like such an idiot? Please, I FEEL SO STUPID! I just want to be able to fit in and join the conversations they have instead of just standing there nodding my head and acting like I know what they are talking about!

Without explaining the history of the beginning wich is totally boring... First I'll go over positions. Goalie, first man, second man, thirdman, left defense wing, right defence wing, center, left attack wing, right attack wing, third home, second home, and first home. Don't let the homes confuse you. You think that home is the end where your goal is but it is the opposite. Ummm... The centers do this little flippy thing with there sticks where the backs of the sticks lean against one another applying presure on the ball which lies in the middle of the two sticks. The referee blows the whistle and the centers fling the ball into the air. If we get the ball, we head for their goal to try to score. While passing the ball to our teamates.

lax was created by native american tribes in canada, parts of New England, and Upstate New York. Then men would play to the death. Obviously today it has changed a lirtle. In guyz lax checking is allowed, on the stick and the body. Checking is hitting to try 2 get the ball away from another team. In girls jv, varsity, and college levels, u r only allowed to checck the stick. U should seriously join this year. The hardest thing u will have to do is cradle probably. Every thing else is a breeze. Then u will have something to talk about with ur friends.

Lacrosse is a sport that involves two teams using lacrosse sticks (long poles with nets at the end) to score a ball in the oponent's goal. The team is setup much like that of soccer. The forwards have to carry the ball across the field passing the ball to each other (each team member is only allowed to carry the ball for a certain amount of time and then pass it to another team member, or its a fowl) passed the other team's goalie. You can find out more about this sport here: http://www.lacrosse.org/the_game.html Maybe you should think about giving lacrosse a try, if they have a team at your school. Or call around to different sports centers and see if they have a team you can play on. Lacrosse is kind of an all around physical sport, and player need to be in descent shape to play, since it involves alot of running. It really is a fun sport, so give it a try to see if YOU like it.
