Everyone Says You Have To Be Very Fit To Play Lax
Guess what? Not true. I work out sometimes, yeah, but I don't think I am fit at all and I kick but at lacrosse. My coach loves me and I have even gotten awards for it. You don't have to be fit as long as you are willing to play up to their standards. If you are just starting I know it is tough, but keep on playing. It gets so much better. I love lacrosse. It is my life! If I could recommend any sport to you, this would be it! Recommend your friends to play. That makes it more fun. Robin.

i dont care about the awards and im not going to write anything mean im just telling u that lacrosse is the fastest game on two feet. you have to have the stamina of soccer, the toughness of football/hockey, and the hand-eye coordination of hockey. im sorry but lacrosse is a tough sport and i encourage ppl to play it but u must stay in shape.

Thats not really a good attitude... i work at they're standards... ur probably just a really big suck up & you should always work higher than average especially in LAX & you dont even deserve those awards... so stop braggin

i really dont think that your completely right. sure you dont have to be super fit to play but Lacrosse is a fast paced game and to be competitive in the sport you have to be conditioned. i play and my team stays after practice once or twice a week to run a couple miles b/c we kno that if we dont we'll get walked all over. if your team is conditioned and quick you've got it made. not to be biest or nething but you'll hardly ever see an extremly over weight person on a lacrosse team. also i think you are extremly full of your self. you dont just go around bragging about you awards, not cool. it just makes you a lesser person. i dont think your articule motivates people at all. i think it was just a bad excuse for you to show off your "awards" and brag.

how does bragging about all your "awards" inspire people? it doesnt matter what a person looks like your right but thats such a stereotype to say bigger people arent in shape.... I have a friend whos pretty heavy and shes a runner track and cross country she also plays hockey... get to know more people.

The not being fit thinng is so not true for every1. My lax team runs 5 miles a day, nd I am only in the 8th grade. If we werent fit, we wouldnt be as good at laxas we r. We would be really slow, and we definately wouldnt have finished 1st in the county.

I don't know...we actually play Lacrosse in 7th and 8th grade PE classes. It's so much fun! I don't play any sports on teams and I really like it, because I am learning it at the same time as everyone else. About the having to be fit part...I am not sure of that because we dont have a LAX team yet...but all skills/fitness levels played this sport in PE.

It's really not true for all people. You shouldn't encourage people not to get in shape before lacrosse, because it does require a certain amount of physical stamina. I'm not saying you have to over work to get ready for lacrosse, but doing things such as running and biking, will help get people in shape for lacrosse, so that they aren't dying out on the field. I think a certain amount of preparing is required, because being in descent shape for sports is a must if you don't want to hurt yourself or get tired very easily.
