Ouch! I suck!
Argh! This sport makes me so mad! I tried it this Spring Break and I just couldn't do it! I was always falling down! I give everyone that can do it a thumbs up. Yeah I know, thumbs up are stupid but you rock it you can snowboard! I want to try it again sometime to see what happens. Maybe I will get it if I keep trying! Yeah right! Hw did you all learn anyway? This is a painful sport I know but just how painful is it? I know a few kids broke their arms from falling and twisting the ankle is common too but what else? Is it such a hard sport? Maybe I just suck at this sport? If you can give me some tips for next time I'd appreciate it! Thanks and remember you all rock if you can snowboard!

I was the same way my first day. I only had one lesson for an hour! I was horrible, but the second day the first half I was still bad but the second half I improved a lot. Just keep trying! You'll get it. I fractured my tail bone. Now I'm doing rails and backflips so keep trying and you'll be good before you know it. God Bless!

Hey! Keep trying. I never took lessons, I learned from my mistakes and therefore progressed much quicker than anyone who had taken lessons on my first day. I definitley beefed plenty of times but by the end of the day I had landed my first indy grab. Don't try to get to technical with the way you ride, it just gets in your head at confuses you more. Find a nice long slow trail and just practice your turns and stops until you feel comfertable and move on to a little stepper trail and before you know it you will be in the terrain park pulling 540's! peace

snowboarding is awesome once u get it! i've had 3 lessons (i'm only a level 2, ) the first day but @$$ was hurting SOOOO much i couldn't sit down!! the next day i got better and so on... taking lesson is definately important! my friend didn't and she thinks she can board-but she really can't she doesn' t kno ne techniques. but don't give up!! nobody can just not learn something! eventually u'll get it. on the first day i went on a trail i was like falling a part and i fell down everytime i got up and got stuck in a dtich and couldn't get out. i was like crying cuz i was so frustrated . i wouldn't recommend going on ne real trails till u can go down a bunny slope w/ steering and w/o stopping.= otherwise u may lose ur confidence. keep workin at it and ull be great soon!

ya it hurt at first wit me 2 but once i got the heel edge to toe edge down it got me carvin like a pro after like an hr of practicing. funnn stuff lol. did u get a lesson? cuz that makes it way easier. remember that after the first few times u've been, snowboarding gets way easier once you get the hang of it, so dont be afraid to go again.
