I Love Snowboarding (Too Bad  It's Expensive)
I was just wondering, I know that the pain in the back of your legs goes away, and I know it's because you get use to it, but do you still get the full workout? Also, why are boards so expensive and why don't you get the bindings with them? I'm 5'10" and my board size is 156" but all the cool ones are too expensiv e! I'm not going to pay $600.00 for a board! As there anyway I can get board paint? Then I could get a board cheap and design it my own way. ;) -Love Lauren

Go to " the-house.com" and then click where they send you a free catalog. This place has awsoms deals on snowboards. I just got a womans package which includes Bindings, Boots and a board for $287. These aren't cheap quality things either because I got $250 off on the package so they were originaly too expensive. But there are all kinds of deals so you might want to check it out. My board is coming in a few days and I am soo excited, it has a cool design on it too!! Snowboarding is expensive though, when you add up the gear and the passes. :( Hope I helped! goodluck

LO OK FOR ONE AT A PAWN SHOP!!!!! i bought my 151 vision there. but be carefull. look for gashes in the bottom. i got mine for 110 with bindings!! the bindings look cool but the left foot is a little hard to undo but it rides well. you can get reallyl lgood deals at pawn shops cause the people that work there have no idea how much they're worth. mine shoulda been like 350!

Hey, yeah it does seem expensive but it is worth it to spend a little more on a better board that will last longer and perform much better. Buying boards on clearence is a pretty good deal, but make sure you don't get fooled and buy some pos board. (burton, forum, gnu, ride are all good companys) Good luck with the paint, I have never heard of anything like it and it may wreck your topsheet, but you shouldn't worry so much about the graphics worry more about the performance (graphics don't make you a better boarder). hope i could help, peace

I see your point here, I just started boarding a couple years ago...and it can be quite overwhelming when u see the prices. I don't know if you have a store called REI anywhere near u, but that's where I got my board for a great deal. I bought it at the very begining of the season...like before there was snow on the ground, and I got a great deal on a clearance. If u don't mind having a board that's sat on a shelf for a summer, then that's the way to go. I got a nice burton board for 200 bucks, then bought new bindings for 70, and clearance boots for 50. Even if u don't have an REI near u, try sporting goods stores around u at around september, to mid october. you should be able to find a great board at a better price...

HAPPY BOARDING!!
