Horse Riding
I love horse rIding.  However, I never seem to have enough time to go horse back riding.  The whole ordeal of getting ready and getting there and then finally actually riding takes like two hours.  I only ride for like half an hour.  I love the actual riding part, but it always seems like it is not worth it because of the whole time that it takes to get ready.  I really don't know what to do.  This summer I'm going to camp and horse back riding there, but I don't know wether or not I'm going to really have fun because of this.  Advice?

You should enjoy getting your horse or pony ready!!! I stay at the barn ALL day and only ride for an hour and a half! I just :) being there! You shouldn't just want to go ride and come home, you have to like the whole deal! Your horse or pony deserves to have some attention because hes letting you ride him so why dont you do him a favour in return?
Definintly spend some bonding time with your pony and you will then see the REAL horseback riding experience!

I don't get what really takes you so long to get ready just to go to the barn. That's why I :) horseback riding, you don't have to get all dolled up to go ride.. The horses don't care what you look like, just as long as you treat them good! So just get up and throw some jeans on, pull on this Ariats.. and you're ready to go!

Getting ready for your horse and going to the barn should'nt actually take this long. If you like to dress up in all your riding equitment, then yes you will lose alot of time. Simply wear shirt and jeans and some boots, now getting your horse ready should'nt take to long etheir, give him/her a quick brush down and if you know your gonna run out of time then ride bareback for awhile. Saddling up does'nt take to long etheir, simply tack up your horse and go. Know where your gonna rie too that way you dont waste half the time wondering where to ride too. Thats really the only advice I can give you. I hope you can work it out!

What's taking u so long: PERSONALLY getting ready or getting your horse ready? Since I assume u mean getting your horse ready, I'd say just try to speed things up a bit. Hey, I've gotten my horse ready in 10 mins 1 time when I was late for my lesson! Just brush him/her enough so they're not dirty (but u don't have to go & give them a thorough brushing; you could save that till later), then clean the hooves quickly, then put on the tack. It shouldn't take too long! & as for riding, 1 could take from 15-2 hrs riding.......but it really varies from person to person. I'm sorry cuz I know I wasn't of much help.......
