All About The Game!

In the Philippines, basketball and boxing are the true loves of our people, never mind if it's not our national game. And yes, it's also why we never pay much attention to the World Cup and other sports. Unless of course, Philipinos are playing there, but that's another story.

Our school has this thing about basketball. In fact, it's more like an extreme fascination for the sport. And that's not surprising, since our team is number one for the last few years.

Every year, during basketball season in college, our players prepare for battle. They never let their guard down, especially if the next match is with their biggest rivals.

What's nice about basketball season is that everyone gets hyped up in their own homes, rooting for their favorite teams, and shouting for joy if they win. Oh yes, and if we win this year, we get a free one-week vacation!

It's not just about the game...or is it? :)

i play ball and i m some short flipina. i m only 4 11 and i am in grade 10. my school is big on ball my school won the provincals. Being a short flipino is an advantage cause your tend to be quicker then your checks also you have madd hops.

I don't know what filipino's average heights are! Yes, we tend to be very short! Z! But I am okay at basketball! Yes, our shortness is a disadvantage to our game, but we work hard so that we can play just as well as tall people, and sometimes it can us! heHE

well so do we..... whenever the lakers got a game we celebrate too... but we also watch all other type of sports... and enjoy world cup olympic and other tournaments it gives our more varieties...

Haha, that sounds pretty . Hehe, out of pure curiosity, how does the height of the Filipino basketball players average out to be? The reason for me asking is because Filipino people tend to be short. I mean no offense, though! Hehe, have a good time.
