Someone Want To Help Me?
A few years ago I tried snowboarding and really liked it. I wasn’t too bad at it either. This past winter I went out a few times and I fell so many times that I actually cracked my knee! Anyway, I’m going to try it again this year, but I want some tips from people who know how. What’s the best way to stay standing? How do I stop (The instructor never told me)? How can I get myself to slow down on a hill? What’s the best kind of board to buy? You know things like that, anything that can help me I’d love to know! Thanks! *Becky

Hey, what im going to tell you might be confusing so if u want i can tell you on IM, Dawnmd828

Turning- lean which way you want to go,and slide your back foot in the opposite direction you want to go. Turning is also called carving, carving keeps you from going too fast and keeps you under control

Stopping- stopping is just a really hard turn. you lean back on your heals and push your back foot forward. if you dont lean on your heels you will do a face plant in the snow.

i dont think you should be looking for a board to buy just yet. If you buy one as a beginner you will end up scratching it all up . your average board today costs between 350-800 dollars. I got mine at a pawn shop for really cheap tho. Its a vision. The good brands out there are of course Burton, santa cruz, Lamar, and more i just cant think of em. Talk to me sometime if u wanna know more.
