Losing Weight While Keeping Muscle
I want to lose about 20 pounds in the next 2 months for cheerleading. I have pretty muscular thighs which I like but I want to get rid of the extra fat around my thighs and stomach. What's the best way to do that? I need to keep my muscular thighs for gymnastics and the sports I play. But I would like to be a tad bit smaller before swim season starts so I have to be the only girl who actually has fat one her body. Help! I weigh 139 pounds and I would like to weigh 110 by the time the season starts.

Don't worry, I'm more fatter than you. I betcha my body fat % is higher than you're own.

cardio and water is what loses weight for me, and watching what I eat of course!

heya just reading ur article there and what youre trying to do is going to be fairly hard!! it is possible but it involves alot of effort!! muscle is built up mainly with protein and so to retain ur muscle a high intake of protein is what you need!! cut down on carbs a little bit because they're the biggest cause of body fat if youre not using all of the energy you get from them! the easiest way i think you be able to lose the weight and keep the muscle is by doin fast cardio fat burning excercises for maybe 10-20 mins a aday and then follow it up wit toning excercises to work and bulid the muscles at the same time like squats and sit ups etc.!! i hope iv helped a little bit and gud luck i hope it all goes well for you!! xxx

i have that same problem and i don't know what to do either! i am in gymnastics too and i have kinda big muscly thighs and i want to get rid of a little fat and weigh less but i don't know how cuz all the conditioning i do at gymnastics and tumbling just makes me stronger but doesn't help with the little extra fat. i wonder what to do?
