I Think I Can
I'm going to be a freshman this year and I'm planning on trying out for my school's softball team. The thing is I've never played softball a day in my life. I've practiced a little bit over the summer but I'm not sure if it's enough. I know I won't be a pro over night but still... I want to at least make the team and even play in the games. I know how to catch and my hitting's okay but there's still a whole lot of work to be done. I know most of the rules and how to play it but I'm still very worried. I show very good hustle but will it be enough?

most coaches are not looking for skill; most are looking for players with potential and the heart to play softball. if you put forth the effot instead of giving up, it shows the coach that you are very much interested in playing softball, and most coaches during try-outs are willing to work with you to make you the best you can be. keep up with the practicing and you shall do good =], have courage and don't bring yourself down during the tryouts. i wish you luck. =]

if you have the potential and the heart then .... if you're a little off it wont matter. coaches look for potential and the want to before the know how and the skill
