Questions On Jazz
I'm a thirteen year old girl and I'm going to take jazz dancing. There's only one problem. I have no idea what jazz dancing is. I've taken ballet when I was little, and I do karate and soccer so I'm in shape. I've looked on-line at the pictures and articles, but i'd appreciate some advice on what to do before I start to know what jazz dance is. I don't want to walk in clueless. Also, what do I wear to practice and to the performances? I'd appreciate any help or advice on all the questions. Thank you all so much.

Oh! Jazz dancing is really cool. I've taken lessons for about a year when I was ten. You said you've taken ballet? Well, I've also taken ballet when I was a little kid, and it is kind of related to jazz dancing. All you need to wear to class is a comfy shirt and a pair of jazz pants or jogging pants. Ballet shoes would also help, but if you don't have them anymore you could just wear rubber shoes. Enjoy your lessons and good luck!

Well I took Jazz for 5 years and for practice we always just wear cheer or short shorts and a tanktop or leotard! Its so much fun and really easy! At least easyer than ballet!

Jazz is similar to ballet but alot more modern and its alot of fun.You do alot of leaps and kicks in jazz. You will want to wear a leotard and a pair of moveable shorts or pants. and you can dance in jazz shoes, paws, or in your barefeet if you want.
