Dilemma
I used to be really into soccer. I played it for about 6 years. One year I got a bad team/coach and so I quit & I haven't played since. Since I'm going to high school next year, my mom is pushing me into joining a team so I have something to do instead of "sit around" & so I can get into college easier. I want to play soccer again, but I'm scared I won't be good at it. I run the mile at school in about 8 minutes 40 seconds. BUT most of the people I know that play soccer run it like 2 minutes faster. So should I "train" and try to play soccer for the spring or "train" even MORE so I'll be better in the fall season? Can anyone explain to me what "off sides" means, and if they use those little yellow card things at 14 year old levels and what they are FOR?

i have played soccer scence i could walk. it is my all time favorite sport what i do before soccer season is i usally try to walk alot train in my back yard as well as going to the soccer camp that they offer the 14 and up girls and i try to eat healther and i try to go on the tred mill and try to go to the gym and go swimming these are some things that make my legs stronger and if you own a dog then you should take them on a walk beacuse that usally makes me go faster in walking speed then when it is just by my self. you should also try to join a soccer club like rec soccer or a summer or winter soccer leauge. i have joined all of them before.

I did soccer ever since i was in kindergaten. Each team that i went to had different categories of ppl playing soccer. If i was u i would play with the recreation soccer teams . Becuz usually there are different type of ppl doing soccer and u wont feel lefted out if u make a mistake , cuz they're there mostly for the same reason u are: to learn more about their mistakes. And i would train first and go to the next soccer season becuz so u can get used to the surroundings and the ppl in it. And an offside is when u are pass the last defender on the other team when the ball goes ur way. So what u have to do is if ur a forward then stay and watch the last defender at all times. And the yellow card is mostly a warning , i think , like when u shove ppl or hang on to them. And remember , dont worry about other ppl , just worry about yourself. And if they make in front of u, then ignore them and hang around other ppl on the team. Hope it helped
