Figure Skating?

Why do so many people love figure skating. What' s the big deal? It's the stupidest sport ever! You skate around in a leotard and twirl around! It's the biggest steriotype ever.

Everytime someone thinks of of a girl who skates, they think figure skating. Like every girl is a twirl girl. Stupidest sport ever! Next time you go on the ice try hockey, it's a much better sport. You can take out your anger, hit guys, and meet alot of hot guys. I'm not saying no one should like it but I tried figure skating and it's so stupid. Ice Hockey is the best sport ever!!

hey! i think that your voice is important, but i mean, gee, figure skating just seems like a lot of hard work. yes, i am a figure skater, and i don't get mad at people who call me, "twirl girls" and make degrading comments like that. I mean, I do think it would be if we could get some respect though, because waking up at five-thirty am every saturday morning, and 4:30 am on weekday mornings to get in a morning skate is tough. It requires endurance, and you have to be dedicated. I tried playing hockey once, and it was a lot of , but I just wasn't made for it. So thank you for the comments, I thought that they were important, but could you try giving girls a little respect for figure skating?

I appreciate your opinion and respect that, but you should learn to accept other people's opinions, too. If you ice hockey better than figure skating, that's fine. For me, both are and really interesting sports. Although I only do figure skating.

You know, there are a lot of people who figure skate and it. Even guys! Don't think it's just girls who figure skate. It's not a fact that hockey is a better sport; it's just your opinion. But when you go calling sports stupid, I suggest you actually think about other peoples' feelings beforehand. Girls can play hockey, no doubt about it. I respect that you like hockey and aren't afraid to stand up for the hockey girls. If you want to express your feelings about a sport, go for it, but please do it in a more polite way. Please! well i wouldnt go as far as to call it stupid, because you are then putting down a lot of people. its obvious that you may not like the sport, but that just may mean that you dont feel that feeling that us figure skaters feel when we skate. i mean when a skater skates, its a feeling that only a real figure skater can understand. it is such an amazing feeling, and there is no need to put it down in any way at all. some people lovve it, some people hate it. doesnt mean its stupid. because if anyone's steriotyping, its you... by calling the sport one filled with twirl girls, youre completely steriotyping. i mean as much as you may think differently, you have to have real toughness to be able to figure skate. i mean, you dont see us wearing all that padding that the hockey players are wearing, do you? and as far as the leotards, its all in the physical aspects of gaining speed through minimizing air resistance. and for those h o t t hockey guys, you dont think that the girls figure skating at the rink next to them isnt attractive? i know the guys at my rink beg to differ. i dont know, its all in my opinion, i just trying to he lp you from jumping into conclusions about the sport. people are always steriotyping us figure skaters, expecially the girl hockey players. i guess its just a natural rivalry. but i hope you just think about it a little more throughly, theres more to the sport then you may have learned in the quick time youve tried it. well, its been talking

its all ur opinion but dont critcize others just because you don't like it. even i think its better then figure skating but i dont make a fool out of myself trying to prove anything

I find figure skating to be very graceful and pretty. The reason they are in leotards is because they are eaiser to move around in. Ice hockey is also , but it's always the same thing. You know that they are going to hit the puck and that they might get a goal or whatnot, but in figure skating, you don't know what move they will do or if they'll land it or not or what score they will get. Especially synchronized figure skating. But this is just my opinion.

Usually if you are good at a particular sport you like it. Maybe you didn't do too well at figure skating but in ice hockey you starred. I like to watch figure skating. It is very graceful and those turns and moves must be very difficult. I also like watching ice hockey. It moves along at a great speed and everyone looks so skilled. I participate in neither sport but I watching both.
