Baseball
Somehow, baseball strikes a bit like cricket to me. The words, 'bat', 'ball', 'innings' et cetera are common to both the games. While cricket is played in the British colonial countries in Asia, Africa and Australia and New Zealand, Baseball is common in North, Central and South America, The Caribbean and South Asia. I once happened to watch a movie on Baseball, a really old one, 'A league of their own.' I got really interested in the game after that movie, it was exciting to watch. In cricket, we have batsman and bowler, but here, it is batter and pitcher. Cricket is really popular in India, and everyday you can see kids playing in the grounds, roads, classrooms ---> everywhere! I was wondering how popular baseball is in the US, being the national game and all. Can you tell me more?
