Stretching!!!
I'm on dance team, but I figured that my article would be better answered here. Anyway, I'm more flexible than normal people, even some people that have been dancing for a while. I would like to be really really flexible. I can get flat in the splits, both sides if I stretch a lot. I can get within about four inches from being flat in the middle splits, but that's also if I stretch a lot. I would like to do them without having to put in so much time in stretching beforehand. Also, when I do things like split leaps, they're almost flat. What other stretches can I do to get more flat in both ways?

To get down flatter to make your legs more flexible so you are not in pain and do not have stretch as much instead of doing your split on the floor do an over split. This means raising your front leg on a higher surface. This could be a chair, stool, mat anything that makes your front leg higher then the back leg. You can also do this with both legs on a higher surface this allows more streatch in your legs then in a normal split. Also try putting your head down on your front leg and reach your hands down to your front toes while you do your split this will push you down. It may hurt more at first but it will make you more flexible and normal splits will hurt less. For your middle split you can do the same thing with the mat.
