Self Esteem/ Weight Loss.
I'm 16, have a boyfriend, and live with my dad and stepmom. =( not a good thing if you ask me.  But anyway, my dad constantly makes me feel like a piece of . . . . . He talks down to me a lot, and I guess you would call it verbal abuse. Him and my stepmom both say things to me that make me feel like I'm 800 pound overweight, when my dad's an alcoholic, and very. .. Fat? My stepmom eats for comfort and is also fat.

I don't understand why they feel the need to put me down so much. I would really like it if someone would help me to help myself get motivated and such. I would love to start exercising, but when it comes down to it, I get lazy, and don't want to do it anymore.

I think that if i get into shape and lose weight I'll be happier with myself, and also a lot of problems might be solved. I would really appreciate it if someone could help me and give me advice. Thanks a Bunches!

Sounds like they are both in denial at the least.
A very simple way to start exercising is to take the longer way to places, whether its stairs instead of an elevator or walking to the store instead of driving. Also, if your parents are stressing you out, going for a walk is good exercise and should get rid of some stress.
