hey! this is a question for anyone who takes steriods or knows anything about them. i have a friend and he takes steriods. i wasn't really happy about it when i found out but i didn't think too much about it. but then the other day he got the TINNIEST cut on his arm that bled REALLY bad for about 20 minutes and just would not stop. a normal person's blood is supposed to clot within 3-6 minutes! i mean he put one band-aid on it and had to keep changing it about every other minute because he was bleeding so much! it was bad. at first i was like that's really weird, why would he bleed so abnormally, and then i remembered he takes steriods. could taking steriods make your blood thin or something?

i dont know about steroids, but creatine with NO2 in it will increase your vein side making more nutrients go through them when you lift (poppin a vein)...So that is possibly why.

o really dont know that much
but when u train the blood rushes to the muscles so i think that thats why it didnt stop
i only know that it happens to alot of bodybuilders with steroids or without

hi katie, I'm a reporter at Newsweek magazine, and we're working on a story about high school students who use steroids. I noticed you're post and I was wondering if you'd be willing to talk to me about your friend. You were quite concerned about him. Is he still using steroids? And have you talked to him about how it worries you? Please email me or give me a call: vjuare@newsweek.com, 212.445.4464. best, vanessa juarez

i really dont know....but the same thing happened to my friend. he got a tiny paper cut and it bled for, like 5 minuites, and i think it is because he is on steriods.....

well i have heard of that but maybe the first thing you should do is talk to a doctor about it.

Very rarely it does, but he's one of those rare people...You're right though blood is supposed to clot in 3-6 minutes...if it gets worse seek medical attention.
