Ok i've never offically played lacrosse before but its still like one of my favorite sports i practice passing and cathing and cradling alot and im gonna play to play it next year probably on the freshman team at AHC and i dont want to embaress myself and im asking for pointers and awsers to questions
1. Are girls really not allowed to have any pocket in HS?(does the ball have to b half way showing when horisontal) 2. Do I need to wear something to protect eyes?(isnt it a new rule) 3. Anything else thats very important?

You are not allowed to have a pocket in girls lacrosse. If you hold your stick horizontal the ball has to be showing above your sidewalls or it's illegal. Yes you have to wear goggles. They just cover your eyes and have a cage on them so it's to see through them. | |

Yes it is true that at the HS level the check your pockets..but thats not reason to get all nervous..just tighten it up this summer, and practice ure cradling while running..ull get the hang of it in no time. And yes get a pair of cascade goggles from any sports store..its a new rule to have them! I had never played before and started on my JV team as a freshman this year. (we have no fresh team at my HS) So just get a friend to practice with and get going..the more u practice now the easier it will be once tryouts come along..also its smart to get an older person who has played on the highschool team already to you out on the rules of the game etc. You'll be fine..and keep practicing..LAX IS THE BEST! -Sam | |
