Okay well I been riding for about 3 years...i can walk, trot, canter, gallop (a little), and jump around 4 ft. I obviously ride English since there is no "canter" and "jumping" in western!
i LOVE hoeseback riding...its my life!

hahaha, i laugh. you've only been riding for 3 years, you can walk, trot, canter, and gallop "a little", and you can jump 4'? i just about fell out of my chair! do you know how high 4 feet is? do you know the level of skill and difficulty it takes to jump 4 feet? obviously not. people ride 10+ years under extensive professional trainers, showing, and riding wonderfully trained horses (and have the ability to ride and train green horses also), yet,,,,, they don't jump 4'. 3"6'-3"9', maybe. so you can walk, trot, canter, and gallop "a little"- yippy skippy! obviously you can't gallop, how can you gallop "a little"? you either gallop, or you don't. just like you can either walk on a horse, or you can't. hmmmm. obviously, you won't have the correct equitation, either. it takes YEARS and YEARS to acquire a level of skill to jump, period. let alone 4'!!!!!! come on now. please....

ya i donno after 3 years that doesnt sound right... unless ur paying a heck of a lot of money for top of the line trainers i would highly doubt it. Im not judging tho! .. i've been riding since i was 5 and im 18 in April..so 13 years? wow! i didnt realize it was that long. I do english. I do or have done pretty much everything! basics (walk, trot,ca nter, gallop), jump, shows, training, retraining(ex. standardbreds wow those r for those who have done this! ) breaking, and teaching.

oh and ps. my friend whose trainer is Beth Underhill (Team Canada rider for those who might not know) jumps about that high maybe a bit higher. However she has a $15, 000 horse which is prolly worth more now and pays a h*ll of a lot of money to be in that barn and have that kind of trainer. Maybe u just made a typo

hey guys...i'm new to this board. I have been riding since I was 7 and I'm 18 next wednesday!!! wow I feel old, any way. I used to show Hunter for until 3 years ago, mainly schooling shows and when I could get enough money I went to the rare A show, where I surprisingly did ok . Right now I'm training in Eventing, and I've been doing that for 3 years. I've competed up to Training Level, and this summer I'm hoping to upgrade to Preliminary im very nervous for that!!! hmm what else... oh on the topic of jumping... the highest course I've ever jumped was 3"9(with oxers) it was cause I was on my coach's horse that went to the Olympics ...and the highest jump I've ever jumped was 4"3 oxer in a game of Chase Me Charlie, def. the est thing ever considering my horse is only 15.2

Last August would start my... 7th year? something like that. I have competed in western before but I was brought up with english and prefer it. I can do the basics in both english and western. For a time I did a little barrel racing at home but never competing in it. I'm focusing mainly on jumping so thats what I do best as of now. The highest i've jumped is either 3'6 or 3'9 but thats just at home. On a weekly basis I jump a little below 3' i'd guess. I lease a beautiful Appendix Quarter horse about 16.1 hands

I have been riding since I was 2years old I am 15 now. I do Western and English. I have 3 lessons a week. Monday is Jumping Wenesday is Dressage and Fridays are Barrels. I can jump at around 3'6-3'9. I ride everyday. We have 2 heated barns and 2 indoor arenas as well as outdoor ones to. We build our own jumps so we can progress by inches. I know jumps go by 3 inch intervals but the way we do them is they can go from 3'1 to 3'12 or what ever height your on. We have 27 Thoroughbreds, 2 Friesians, 3 Clydesdales and 5 Quater horses. I have 7 Thoroughbreds of my own. I would of only had 5 but my mare, Tinkerbelle recently had twin fillies. My horses names are Tinkerbelle, Dancing Prancer, Moonlight Night, Miss Priss, Roaring Thunder, and the 2 twins names are Tinkerbelle's Wish and Sunlight Star. Those are their show names. I have competed in over 250 shows and placed in either 1st or 2nd place and sometimes 3rd. If you ever want to talk I have Msn messenger. My name for that is galloping_hor ses_09@ mail.com.

i dont think n e one here is mad cuz shes a "better rider" everyone is just tryin to make a similar point that it is practically impossible that she has been riding for 3 yrs and can already jump 4 feet. It is very unlikely, im sure she was just mistaken is all

I've been riding for 9 years and i've only jumped 1metre 15cm but i have friends who only live in england through the summer and so only ride for a few months a year and they can easily jump 4foot.

Horses are my life. I am 17 and have been riding my whole life... I started barrel racing two years ago and bought my awesome barrel horse, she has taught me so much and we've come really far. Im now a hard core barrel racer, spending every weekend at shows, I run with the best, people that have been doing it their whole lives. I've worked really hard to get where I am, especially since its only been two years. Theres just something exhilirating about riding your horse wide open, in arena or open field. Its awesome, hard to explain. We have recently taken up jumping, around 2' my mare is quarter/thorougbred so she s the big jumps. She wants to go fast all the time though, its like shes 4 again, learning something new and totally different. Its , I wouldnt trade her for anything. I have yet to find a horse who can out run her, shes not crazy though, she has sense....racing horses have bad reputations but shes a sweetheart.. s to run, a little headstrong, takes and advanced rider only because she gets upset if you're scared or nervous. Shes my other half.

ive been ridin since i was 7, and i have an AWSOME!!!! five gaited 4 yr old. i ride saddleseat (obviously) and its pretty . my horsie is so friggn awsome, we placed 6th in the world, and im the only one wit a 4 yr old horse. hes a blast to ride, and my greatest moments were with him. he let me sleep with him one time when he was layin down, i felt so d . ya and theres another horse, who isnt mine, but he kinda is since no one else cares about him. i trained him and stuff cuz his old owner just kinda abandoned him. hes come so far in the past year, its amazing, and i could probably almost trust him with my life.
ya idk bout ur 3 yr thing, but i can see how it might be possible. at my barn, the trainer used to make u work hard to ride the better horses, but now ty riders get to ride good horses and screw them up sooo, u never kno.
