Well okay..This is goin to be my first year playin softball for my school..I played tee ball when i could start, then moved up and moved up till i got to softball..and i've played that every year..so i've played awhile..but anyways! People say i am good but i dunno...I  softball is all i can say..but this year i think is gunna be harder..my friend's mom is a volunteer assistant coach..and she says ill prolly play on varsity..i was like woah..that's a big leap..but yeah! i dunno if i really will! I hope though..But anywho! Is high school ball diffrent from summer ball? hope not..anywho! just thought i'd tell ya that! | |

The intensity is up significantly, but most high school girls are still about having  first. Most of the hard core girls are playing on a travel squad year round. This is not like your boyfriends football team. That said, don't think of committing to a team unless you are serious about playing and practicing seriously. | |

Real softball girls no when to have and when to work their asses off. Fun is all good and dandy but it doesn't  you improve. With that said, like Penelope said, if you're serious, commit. If not, don't waste anyone's time on something you care nothing about. | |

We just had tryouts at our school...over 30 girls joined but today was the first cut and more than half of them got cut. I'm thankful because I didn't. Remember, if you make the first cut, don't get lazy, they'll cut you in less than a millisecond.
PS. I was happy. :D | |

| school ball and summer ball are both soooo much FUN, your gonna have a lot of just work hard dont give up and im sure you'll have a blast, and if you do make varsity make sure you know that your there becasue you worked your ass off to get it. happy hittin | |

Me too! I am in eigth grade, but I made it on our highschools freshman team. It is my first year in fdastpitch. I have played slow ptch for four years and I am on another team for slow pitch but I reallly am enjoying. good luck to everyone on there teams. hope you all have good seasons.  | |

| well what i heard from diffretn travel`n coaches. traveling ball is more challing then high school ball. you get alot more exprinces. but good luck & if you dont play varisty & sit the bench try again .! | |
