no i dont think it would, i riding bareback, its so awsome! and nottin has ever happened. I think they meant that u can hurt their back if u dont sit properly. You have to make sure u stay right up where their withers are, i could see it causing problems if u sit to far on their backs. Just sit where u put the saddle because it basically the same thing but without a saddle! so how could that b bad? Just make sure u keep a proper position!

umm no i dont think u can unless like the previous person said u dont sit rite. when ridin bareback forget about leg position and all that b.c its next to impossible. u must b loose. if u tighten up u'll fall...the trot is the hardest to master! u will fall off a lot on it..i would sugest posting even if u ride western. BALANCE is very important too! ok ive given u info that u havent asked for.. so hope it s

no, cuz its easier on their back then havn a saddle on em, think about it, its like havn a heavy backpack (with a saddle) to a lighter backback (bareback) and its to, and idk, but i feel more connected to them when i ride bareback.. but then again, thats just me.

no. just make sure u don't sit to far back on their back or u could loose ur balace unless ur an expericned rider.A saddle is actually worse than bare-back. Just don't woory about it. Ride any-way u want(just not backwards its not very comfterable)

They do have a point, you do have to sit properly but you must also 'ride' properly as well. Many riders think that when riding bareback its to bounce around and stuff at the trot, but after awhile it does make their back sore so it is important that the rider can follow the horse and not be stif. An good example of this, is when you're in elementary school running with bareback full of books causing you to go off balance and eventually hurting your shoulders, thats how a horse may feel with someone that can't follow. It takes awhile to notice, but most riders that have developed a 'seat' find this easier.
