I'll tell you what was at my field hockey tryouts. They were two-a-days for a week.
In the afternoons we always played the game itself. In the mornings:
~timed skill/stick work ~timed shuttles ~timed 100 yard dash (twice) ~two timed miles ~other time things etc etc
~a long run (about 3-4 miles) ~running VERY steep hills for 1/2 hr w/ chips in our hands (if chips broke, extra hills because your hands shouldn't be stiff when you run) ~push-ups, situps, stretches (work on push-ups!) ~ sprints ~running exercises (such as grapevines, high knees, butt kick, etc etc) ~passing, recieving, dribblind, scoring (aim)
that's pretty much the jist of it... good luck!!! | |

| I wish you good luck. The sport itself isn't so hard but the tryouts and training is pretty tough. | |
