i used to ride horses a while ago and now i'm thinking about getting back into it i used to ride western but the whole thing is the barn i used to ride at has just about completely switched over to english now i was thinking about switching over to english but the whole thing is i'm a guy and i would feel weird aroud all thee girls there and especially the whole breeches thing any advice from anyone is greatly appreciated because i would like to start riding soon maybe it is time for a switch and learn something new

Dont worry about being a guy the girls are more likly to want to be friends with you than laugh at you. I do a horse care course at college and thereare only 2 guys on the whole course of about 70 girls and all the girls them. As from swapping from western to English just go for it trying new things is and if you dont like it at least you tried it. I have only ever ridden english but id like to try western - just cant find anywere to learn but yea good luck x x x

i'm a guy and i ride english. its by far harder than western. there are very few guys in english because people think its a girls sport but that could not be farther from the truth. if u ride english u gotta be strong.
