We are still awaiting further details, but we are extremely saddened to report that former WWE and WCW World champion Chris Benoit and his wife, former WCW and ECW personality Nancy "Woman" Benoit were both found dead today in Atlanta, Georgia. Obviously this will be a huge developing story in the days to come but at this point, we'd like to express our deepest condolences to the Benoits' family, friends, and fans at this time.
A meeting is currently ongoing at WWE TV and it is expected that tonight's three hour Raw will now be dedicated to Benoit's memory.
6:09 Update: WWE.com issued the following statement this afternoon: "WWE is sad to report that Chris Benoit and his family have been found dead in their home. Police are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the deaths. Tonight's Raw will be a tribute to Chris and his family."

Authorities confirmed that Chris Benoit, his wife, Nancy and their 7-year-old son were found dead at the home on Quarters and Redwine roads in Fayetteville about 4 p.m.
Officials would not say how the family died, other than to say they weren't s  to death.
Benoit, 40, was a Canadian wrestler who most recently fought as part of the World Wrestling Entertainment.
The organization said on its Web site said that Monday night's broadcast of "Raw" on the USA Network will "serve as a tribute to Chris Benoit and his family." | |

I was so shocked and saddened to hear the news of Chris Benoit's death. Benoit was one of my favorite wrestlers, and he always made me so happy when he went out and competed. On Monday when I was all ready to see the 3 hour "Memorialization of Mr. McMahon" special and the first thing I see after the WWE indtroduction is "In Memory of Chris Benoit", I totally lost it. I was shocked, stunned, and incredibly upset. I started to cry really hard. I thought I was dreaming or reading the screen wrong but I wasn't dreaming and I wasn't reading my screen wrong. My heart goes out to the entire Benoit family. My thoughts are with you always. Chris, you were an awesome competitor, and a wonderful person. The passion you showed for the sport of professional wrestling was incredible. You made it a requirement every time you went out there to make sure you gave your best effort and to make sure the fans went home happy. You were a first class human being who was respected and admired by all. I  you Chris. You will be deeply missed. | |

Benoit was an amazing performer. Someone I used to look up to. I no longer have any respect for him because of what he did. If I may quote Lisa Marie, now in the WWE as Victoria, "What Chris did was selfish and hurtful. I fear that him being a superstar in some way glamorizes the situation. That's not what suicide is. It is selfish and hurtful. Maybe someday I will be able to forgive Chris, but not today." This is directly from a post on Myspace if anyone is interested. Like I said. I've lost all of my respect for Benoit because of the fact that he killed his family. Yeas his son had Fragile X Syndrome, which has some of the same affects as autism, but that doesn't mean that you need to find a permanent solution. Just get him some  . And if Chris couldn't be a man and step up and deal with it then he needed to leave. You don't take three days to kill your family. You don't take your own son's life to put him out of his misery. You find a way to get him . As for RAW on Monday night. How do you think all of those superstars feel now. Almost every one of them that was on the air said what a  guy he was and what a family guy he was. If he was such a family guy than why did he take the lives of his 7 year old son and his wife. This is not all I have to say about this topic, but I think that It's enough for now. | |

Well one thing to keep in mind here is that so far I believe that nobody has said it WAS murder they said they believe it was murder-suicide. I'm keeping an open mind here to be honest, if the police come out with evidence that Benoit DID do it then I'll probably hate him however if they come out with otherwise it may be forgiveable, just remember nobody has said it WAS murder.
