It's not that hard and its really actually.
There are 11 players on each team (10 field players and 1 goalie). On each end on the field is a half circle that is 16 yards. From inside this circle you can shoot and score on goal. You move the ball around the field dribbling, passing and hitting. Common fouls are if the ball hits your feet, hacking (hitting your stick into someone else), obstruction (blocking another player from playing the ball) and high balls (when you hit the ball and it bounces up really high in the air. Of you do this and its not dangerous they won't call it but if there are lots of people it could hit or does hit you get fouled.) For most fouls, the other team gets to take a free hit from wherever the foul occured on the field. However if the foul occurs in the circle by the defending team the offenense in awarded a corner. Corners are where four defender and a goalie get to stay back while several offenders line up around the edge of the circle. One player hits the ball out to any of those lined up while the defense who starts behind the goal line rushes into play. | |
