True or False: If a woman's waist is above 31.5 inches, she is at increased risk for a heart attack. If her waist is above 35 inches, then she is at even more at risk for diseases associated with obesity.

If you take my age...13 into those risks, should I lose a major amount of weight? FYI, I'm 5'7" and 195 lbs with a 41 inch waist. Would my heart attack risk go up as I get older if I lose weight and gain muscle since it is more mass on the body.

One thing I don't agree with is that pathetic BMI stuff. Technically, I'd be moderately obese but why I don't think that makes sense is...
#1: My dad is 237 lbs. and 5'10" tall. His gut is smaller than mine and he has huge biceps. Would that mean he could have a heart attack if he kept on lifting weights.

OR

#2: If I keep on lifting weights and keep on with the resistance training and begin to lose even more weight but gain it bak due to muscle, would I be at increased risk for a heart attack even though muscle is a healthy weight.

But let's just say this...my goal is to get 10 inches off of my waist, which I have started last week. I've lost about 1/16 of an inch and around 2 1/2 lbs. Now, if I were to get my arms bigger with the upper body workouts, and have a smaller waist, would that mean I could have a risk of stroke and heart attack that obese people can get even though I simply have more muscle mass, not fat mass? I do also understand muscle is a healthy weight too.

By the way, I'm just wondering because I have a desire to gain more muscle and lose the fat at the same time. Just curious...
