Tiki Barber

What position do you play, and how old were you when you started playing?

I am a running back for the New York Giants. I started playing football when I was about 12 years old. The reason why I started playing football was because all my friends played. I have a twin brother that is a football player for Tampa Bay.

What type of music do you listen to and what is your favorite all time movie?

I listen to all types of music. It depends on what kind of mood I am in. If I was to be relaxed and laid back with my life I listen to Jazz. If I am trying to get excited for a game, I will try to listen to Lenny (Lenny Kravits).My favorite all time movie…you are going to laugh…is the Goonies. Have you seen that? I love that movie I saw it all the time when I was a little kid. There are plenty of others, but that is the one I will always remember.

If you did not get into professional football, what do you think you would have done?

I probably would have been involved in computers somehow. I went to school as a MIS major, which is computer programming. I would have been on the other extreme. I would have been a nerd in the back of an office programming. I have a web site called NFLtwins.com. When I went to college, I learned how to program web sites. I have been on the news as a broadcaster for NBC for the past two off seasons doing the morning news. I am kind of setting myself up for a new career. I will probably stop playing football in about 6 years. Once I hit 30 I think my body will say “quit.”

What are some of you professional accomplishments?

Last year was my biggest year as a professional. I broke three or four team records. One was All Purpose Yards, I totalled over 2,000 all purpose yards this past season. I broke Frank Gifford's receiving record for running back at 7 year inception. Actually, it was my record, but I broke it again. We went to the Super Bowl, which is everyone’s goal. Every player on every team has the same focus at the beginning of every season. We got there, unfortunately, we didn’t win it. However, we took the right steps to get there.

Do you think the Giants will make playoffs this season?

Absolutely, we have the same team coming back. Consistency in this league is what wins. We have a good core group of guys who have developed into good leaders. Hopefully, we can get these young guys and people we brought in on the same page and get us back on the winning track.

Who are the new players?

We addressed some needs at corner back. We have a couple good corners, one is from Syracuse his name is Will Allen and he looks like he is going to do well. He is practicing really well already. The other one is Will Peterson. He is going to be solid too. So, we did some upgrades.

What would you recommend TeenFX users that are interested in playing Professional football?

I recommend that they learn as much as they can about the game because as you get older everyone kind of equals out, ability wise, strength wise, and speed wise. It’s the players who are smart that actually know the intricacies of the game that succeed. For the teenfx users, the one message that I always say is to never give up when people doubt you a lot. When people doubt you turn that into something positive.

I went to a Giants game recently and saw you play. You guys won that game. It was awesome. I was ten rows back from the field. The game determined whether or not you would make it to the playoffs. It was a great game. The Giants won in overtime. Also, I was wondering if you were at the Super Bowl supporting your twin brother. I didn't see you there or at least the camera didn't show you. Tiki Barber sucks. The only reason the giants got to the superbowl is because they had the easiest schedule. If they were so good y couldn't they make it to the superbowl this year. Jets Rule. Curtis Martin just missed leading the league in rushing by 30 yards. You didn't see Tiki doing that did u. J-e-t-s JETS! JETS! JETS!
